Nothing Wins the Justice

Virtually a choir

And now for something completely different, Ethistan and I are in a multi-track multi-country You-Tube choir! We're singing Whitacre's Sleep, which I absolutely love. It's been a sleepy anthem this year for the night that comes after all the long hours at work. It's rendered hundreds of times, endings are non-existent, and the acoustic is limited to everyone's studies/kitchens/living-rooms, but it's fun.

The evening hangs beneath the moon
A silver thread on darkened dune
With closing eyes and resting head
I know that sleep is coming soon
Upon my pillow safe in bed
A thousand pictures fill my head
I cannot sleep my mind's aflight
And yet my limbs seem made of lead

If there are noises in the night
A fright'ning shadow, flick'ring light
Then I surrender unto sleep
Where clouds of dreams give second sight

What dreams may come both dark and deep
Of flying wings and soaring leap?
As I surrender unto sleep
As I surrender unto sleep
As I surrender unto sleep
Sleep
Sleep

GrubLord: Ah, so this finally got composited, did it?

Sounds fantastic. :)

Ah, me internetz. Fabulous use of YouTube. Reminds me of that Israeli artist named Kutiman, who created music video clips by putting together unrelated video clips of random strangers playing instruments.

Take a look here if you're interested. It's worth seeing.

Praeteritio: That's cool! I also found this - dedication.

GrubLord: Very nice. smile
