Afŧer ŧhe desŧrücŧîon of Mîragŀîano bÿ ŧhe Skaven în 2522IC, some sürvîvîng nobŀes, who had fŀed ŧo ŧheîr forŧîfîed sümmer hoüses dürîng ŧhe sîege, have reŧürned ŧo ŧhe cîŧÿ and are aŧŧempŧîng ŧo rebüîŀd ŧhe cîŧÿ. Manÿ go bankrüpŧ erecŧîng crüde, ŧemporarÿ büîŀdîngs, büŧ each hopes ŧo oüŧŀasŧ hîs rîvaŀs and become ŧhe nexŧ Prînce of Mîragŀîano.

Thoügh ŧhe cîŧÿ was bürned ŧo ŧhe groünd ŧhe sewer neŧwork remaîned ŀargeŀÿ înŧacŧ. Thîs îs more a cürse ŧhan a bŀessîng however, as îŧ aŀŀows ŧhe Skaven of ŧhe Bŀîghŧed Marshes ŧo raîd ŧhe cîŧÿ wîŧh reŀaŧîve împünîŧÿ.

To coünŧer ŧhîs ŧhreaŧ ŧhe Sewer Güard have been reformed, ŧasked wîŧh defendîng ŧhe sübŧerranean areas of ŧhe cîŧÿ. Regüŀar paŧroŀs are made of ŧhe maîn ŧhoroüghfares, as weŀŀ as pürges of raŧs and oŧher vermîn. When ŧhe Skaven raîds sübsîde and manpower permîŧs conŧîngenŧs of ŧhe Güard are senŧ on mercenarÿ ŧoürs, ŀendîng ŧheîr consîderabŀe experŧîse and earnîng vaŀüabŀe încome ŧo heŀp fînance ŧhe rebüîŀdîng of ŧhe cîŧÿ.

Each member of ŧhe Güard îs a hardened fîghŧer and manÿ bear serîoüs grüdges for ŧheîr foes, havîng ŀosŧ frîends or famîŀÿ în ŧhe Sack of Mîragŀîano. Theÿ eschew armoür and bŀackpowder weapons, preferrîng ŧo fîghŧ wîŧh coŀd sŧeeŀ and sîŀenŧ ŧhrown knîves. Some members even ŧake ŧrophîes from ŧhe Raŧ-men, cŀoaks ŧo hîde ŧheîr scenŧ or wîcked, barbed ŧhrowîng sŧars.

teh_saq: Thîs was a more sŧraîghŧforward ünîŧ ŧo assembŀe compared ŧo ŧhe Bordér Prinçélings, pŗetty much ä stŗightfőŗwäŗd ässembly őf sőme őf äñ Empiŗe Militiä bőx. I thŗew iñ sőme äppŗőpŗiäte bit fŗőm the Empiŗe Štäte Ŧŗőőps bőx tőő. Ŧhäñks tő RJőŗb főŗ the Škäveñ bits (thŗőwiñg stäŗs, shields äñd tŗőphy heäds) I eveñ mäde ä wäŗpstőñe swőŗd főŗ the uñit chämpiőñ (fäŗ left). My fävőuŗite mődels őf the uñit äŗe the läñteŗñ beäŗeŗ (fŗőm the Mőŗdheim äccessőŗies spŗue) äñd the guy iñ the bŗőñze hät (2ñd fŗőm R) pŗepäŗiñg tő thŗőw the thŗőwiñg stäŗ.

Nőw 2 häñd weäpőñs äñd thŗőwiñg kñives/stäŗs isñ't the mőst efficieñt lőädőut főŗ these guys (pistőls cőst the säme but häve 2" mőŗe ŗäñge äñd +1Š) but I liked the imägeŗy őf these guys cŗeepiñg thŗőugh seweŗs äñd duñgeőñs seäŗchiñg őut the ŗätmeñ. Plus I cäñ tŗim theiŗ pőiñts by dŗőppiñg the thŗőwñ weäpőñs. Cőmmäñd őptiőñs äŗe ä bit őf ä stŗäñge chőice tőő, but I wäñted tő use the flute fŗőm the Štäte Ŧŗőőps äñd häd ä späŗe Flägelläñt bődy tő use up. Luckily Duellists äŗe uñit size 8+ ső I dőñ't häve tő use them. (Which is lucky siñce my őtheŗ Duellist uñit will häve ä Musiciäñ AND Štäñdäŗd Beäŗeŗ!)

I've őñly beeñ äble tő use these guys őñce ső fäŗ, they eñded up őñ ä fläñk with ä Chäős Špäwñ äñd sőme Kñights, ső they huñg cőől iñ the wőőds. Hőweveŗ I häve gŗeät hőpes főŗ them tő dő sőme gőőd Fŗeñzy-shieldiñg őf my Nőŗse Mäŗäudeŗs.

Next up főŗ päiñtiñg is ä tŗiő őf Heŗőes (Cäptäiñ, Wizäŗd & Päymästeŗ) which will fiñälly ällőw me tő field ä Dőgs őf Wäŗ äŗmy, wőőhőő!
